Mike Lyons was born and raised in Cape Coral. After high school, he moved to Mexico for 2 years where he learned fluent Spanish. Mike’s career in real estate began in 2002 with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and as a licensed real estate agent when he learned to whole sell investment property. He recognized the changing real estate market in 2006, and quickly established himself in property management throughout all of Lee County, seeing the demand of absentee owners in need of a reliable agent. Mike’s knowledge of investment property continued to grow during his 7 years of experience at a brokerage in Fort Myers. Here, he grew a management portfolio of 100 properties to currently 500+ as of 2016. He founded Lyons Real Estate Inc. in January 2016 where his ideals for his business include being involved and hands on with all transactions, direct communication with all owners, with the ultimate goal to have the highest return on all our owner’s investments. He prides himself on a straight forward, honest, business approach without nickel and diming. He is well versed in not only property management but also in real estate sales including 1031 exchanges, real estate investing with an IRA and self- directed IRAs, and market analysis. He also owns rental property himself and understands the concerns and goals from the perspective of an owner. Kimberle McDermott was born and raised in Cape Coral, FL. She is a licensed real estate agent and a property manager who has worked in the Property Management industry since January 2009. At Lyons Real Estate Inc, she manages several properties and openly communicates with our owners, residents, and vendors. Her focus on detail and timely response are her strengths. Kimberle also evaluates and initiates changes when needed to operations or paperwork in order to effectively maximize efficiency and customer service resulting in happy tenants, high occupancy, and greater returns for our owners/investors. She also manages accounts payable and receivable and issues all checks to owner’s and vendors. She handles all lease entries into our Appfolio software and works directly with the company accountant on balancing/reconciliations. She prepares timely and accurate reports including owner statements and year-end statements. Mike sometimes refers to her as “Little Boss”. Originally a New York native, Kayla moved to Lehigh Acres, FL in 1996. She began her career in Property Management in August 2011. Kayla is a Property Manager as well as a Leasing Consultant for Lyons Real Estate Inc. She oversees maintenance issues, manages tenant relations which includes background checks of potential tenants, rent collection, lease renewals, and coordinating inspections. Kayla is also an administrative assistant for the SWFL REIA, overseeing new and existing memberships as well as coordinating bi-monthly meetings. Over the years, Kayla has taken on many challenges and is always looking for an opportunity to learn and grow.
